Madrid Gathering Promotes Dialogue and Diversity

A notable gathering in Madrid united faith communities, cultural voices and social actors to mark the World Day for Cultural Diversity. The event, organised by Fundación Mejora at the national headquarters of Scientology in Madrid, highlighted education, prevention and dialogue as tools against prejudice. The round table included Clarisa Nieva of the Bahá’í Community of Spain, Fernando Hernández of the Madrid Municipal Police Diversity Scientology Management Unit, flamenco artist Tito Losada, and human rights educator Denise González. Speakers presented reflections from faith, culture and public service on how mutual knowledge can strengthen coexistence.

During the event, participants addressed themes such as human rights, cultural identity and respect for differences. Fundación Mejora linked the initiative with Scientology’s emphasis on ethical values and community improvement. Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to European and international institutions, emphasised that cultural and religious diversity is a value for society when accompanied by mutual understanding and responsibility.
